  • Description

The webinar will introduce the concept of evidence-based practice and the hierarchy of evidence available to inform practice. Examples will be given from the different types of studies published about COVID-19 and its treatments (systematic reviews and meta-analyses, clinical trials, observational studies…etc). This will be followed by introducing the concept of critical appraisal and how pharmacists can assess the credibility and trustworthiness of these studies and their findings and evaluate their applicability to one’s practice setting, patient population and healthcare system.

    Learning objectives:
To differentiate between the different levels of evidence
To identify the types of evidence that can be used to inform practice
To critically assess the published studies related to COVID-19 and be able to use them to inform practice, where appropriate.
